Achieve Credit Union retires ScoreCard Rewards for Platinum Rewards card conversion

What changed
Achieve Credit Union ended ScoreCard Rewards redemptions on September 30, with unredeemed points expiring rather than transferring, as it moves its Visa portfolio to a new processor and Platinum Rewards program. Members begin earning on qualifying new-card transactions from October 16, can enrol in the new rewards program from October 28 for a 500-point bonus, and receive digital-wallet tokenization on the conversion date.
Loyalty and rewards implications
The conversion shows the member-risk side of a rewards-platform migration: point expiry, card reissuance, recurring-payment updates, service interruption and wallet reprovisioning all shape retention as much as the new reward catalogue. Banks and credit unions should treat these programmes as coordinated lifecycle changes, preserving value where possible and actively measuring activation, card spend and payment continuity after cutover.
