What changed
Adirondack Federal Credit Union said members should receive new Tap to Pay debit cards by August 21 ahead of its September 3 digital-banking launch. Its migration includes a new mobile app, redesigned statements and a $25 member dividend for eligible members, with a $50 maximum; members will need to activate the new card, update recurring payments and reconnect digital wallets after the conversion.
Loyalty and rewards implications
The credit union is using a required technology conversion as a loyalty and retention moment, combining a tangible member benefit with payment and digital-adoption tasks. Conversion campaigns can drive activation and wallet provisioning, but must use clear sequencing and support because the old card stops working September 2. Cyder can position migration playbooks that tie incentives to completed member actions while measuring activation, wallet re-provisioning and retained card spend.
