Loyalty Development

Bilt brings household controls and shared rewards into authorized-user accounts

Development analysis

What changed, why it matters, and what leaders should watch.

What changed

Bilt expanded authorized-user capabilities with individual spending limits, merchant-category restrictions, card pausing, real-time transaction monitoring, separate card numbers, and a shared Bilt Points balance. Primary cardholders can add users as young as 13, and Bilt plans credit-building functionality for eligible adult authorized users.

Loyalty and rewards implications

Bilt is turning rewards into a household engagement and financial-wellness tool. Credit unions can connect youth accounts, family spending controls, shared goals, financial education, and household-level recognition to create stronger multi-member relationships.
