What changed, why it matters, and what leaders should watch.
What changed
Canadian Tire Corporation confirmed that Triangle Rewards will add Tims Rewards as a fourth strategic partner in fall 2026, joining Petro-Canada, RBC, and WestJet. CTC also reported that loyalty sales increased 3.1% and continued to outpace non-loyalty sales, while it extended free ship-to-home benefits to Triangle members.
Loyalty and rewards implications
Triangle is expanding into a coalition spanning retail, fuel, banking, travel, and a high-frequency restaurant category while reporting measurable commercial lift. Credit unions can gain utility from external partners and combine points, personalized offers, and practical member perks inside one program.
